Working Experience:
1968 – 1972
Joined Survey Research Malaysia as a research supervisor but soon promoted to research executive.
Key role was the conducting of research as well as the interpreting of marketing research studies.
1972 – 1977
Joined Warner Lamvert – manufacturer of Waterbury’s Compound, Chiclets & Listerine.
Started as Research & Promotion Supervisor but was promoted to Assistant Product Manager after 2 years of service.
Key role was to work with promotion teams traveling across Malaysia to carry out sampling programs and conduct research.
Working Experience:
1978 – 1980
Joined Richardson-Merrell - Manufacturers of Vicks Vaporub, Vicks Cough Drops & Oil of Ulay as Senior Product Manager.
Soon promoted to Group Product Manager.
1981 – 1985
Joined Colgate - Palmolive - Manufacturer of Colgate Toothpaste,Palmolive Soap, Fab Detergent as Senior Group Product Manager. Promoted to Marketing Manager in 1983.
Spent 2 years as Senior Group Product Manager & Marketing Manager for Colgate Tooth Paste Category. Spent 1 year in New Product Development Department, to gather experience in product development, product development research & new product launches. Spent 2 years as Marketing Manager for Palmolive Soap Category to address & re-establish the Body Cleaning business segment.
1986 – 1988
Joined Diethelm (M) Sdn. Bhd. as Division Manager for Consumer Products Division 2 - Tolietries/Baby Care/Houshold Products & Foods (Jams).
Moved Sales from 4.5 mil - 8.0 mil for Consumer Division 2.
1988 – 1990
Invited to join as Division Marketing Manager for Consumer Products i.e. Food Products Division/Kanebo Cosmetics/ Warco Ladies Lingerie & Pierre Cardin.
Moved Sales from 6.5 mil - 9.5 mil for Consumer Division.
1991 – 1992
Joined Nina Ricci (M) Sdn. Bhd as Sales & Marketing Manager responsible for the development of the business throughout Malaysia in major Departmental Stores.
1993 – 2004
Joined URC as Marketing Manager responsible for the Snack Foods & Chocolate Products Business. Added responsibility to cover Export business from zero base moving to 4.3 mil business in 4 years.
Retired in year 2004 and moved onto Development of Visata Creative Sdn. Bhd.
